Features and Benefits

Directional reflector

The antenna concentrates the link toward the remote endpoint, supporting a planned path rather than broad household coverage.

Integrated radio assembly

The combined equipment avoids a separate external radio and antenna feed arrangement.

Useful for compatible M-series networks

The PowerBeam M2 can serve installations where the required band and protocol are already established.

How to Set Up the PowerBeam M2

  1. Verify the full model and compatible remote radio.
  2. Survey line of sight and local 2.4GHz interference.
  3. Assemble the reflector, feed, and mounting parts correctly.
  4. Bench-configure using the approved passive PoE supply.
  5. Change credentials and set unique management addressing.
  6. Configure complementary wireless roles.
  7. Match security, channel width, and compatible airMAX settings.
  8. Select Kenya and permitted transmit parameters.
  9. Mount securely with suitable outdoor cable protection.
  10. Align both endpoints and check signal quality.
  11. Test real traffic and stability.
  12. Save configuration and installation records.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Advantages: Integrated 18dBi directional antenna; suitable for matching M-series links; outdoor mounting assembly.

Disadvantages: Fast Ethernet; potentially busy frequency band; larger physical profile than a Loco radio.

Troubleshooting

Check reflector assembly, feed position, alignment, interference, cabling, and supply voltage when a link is unreliable.
